Pastel and dye

Today was a very rainy, cold day - so what better way to spend it than doing art! We had some students from Room 5 in the morning to help us produce this incredible work. We started off drawing a big circle in the middle of the page in pencil, then outlined it in vivid. We drew out petals. Then we added more flowers and petals, stems and leaves. Finally, it was colour time! We focussed on shading and drawing carefully within the lines. At lunch, whilst we were watching the Lion King, we each painted the blue backgrounds carefully, one by one. The results are spectacular! Sunflowers on a rainy day. Room 10
