Maui and the Sun
Last week we were learning to follow the literacy cycle to complete a piece of writing. We decided to retell the Maui and the Sun story. First we planned our story and then we used this as a guide to write our story. Our next step was work with a buddy to reflect on what we had written. Once we had finished our reflection, and made any changes necessary, we conferenced with Miss Kirsty and then we were ready to share our work.

Wow you guys read your stories very well. I like the way you spoke clearly and read your stories at a good pace. I love that story, especially the illustrations. I wish the sun would move quickly across the sky again and then I could get more sleep!
